Two Approximation Formulas for Bateman’s G-Function with Bounded Monotonic Errors

چکیده
Two new approximation formulas for Bateman’s G-function are presented with strictly monotonic error functions and we deduced their sharp bounds. We also studied the completely (CM) degrees of two involving G(r), deducing its inequalities improving some recently published results.

Preservation theorems for bounded formulas
In this paper we naturally define when a theory has bounded quantifier elimination, or is bounded model complete. We give several equivalent conditions for a theory to have each of these properties. These results provide simple proofs for some known results in the model theory of the bounded arithmetic theories like CPV and PV1. We use the mentioned results to obtain some independence results i...
متن کاملTwo Logarithmically Completely Monotonic Functions Connected with Gamma Function
In this paper, the logarithmically complete monotonicity results of the functions [Γ(1 + x)]y/Γ(1 + xy) and Γ(1 + y)[Γ(1 + x)]y/Γ(1 + xy) are established.
متن کاملComparing two Formulas of Sample Size Determination for Prevalence Studies
Background and purpose: Sample size and its determination is one of the most important problems in health researches. Calculating sample size for prevalence studies is one of the common questions of sample size topics. Minimum sample size with least complexity is desirable in order to achieve the basic goal of these studies. This study aims to compare two formulas of sample size calculation for...
متن کاملDiscrete Piecewise Monotonic Approximation by a Strictly Convex Distance Function
Theory and algorithms are presented for the following smoothing problem. We are given n measurements of a real-valued function that have been altered by random errors caused by the deriving process. For a given integer k , some efficient algorithms are developed that approximate the data by minimizing the sum of strictly convex functions of the errors in such a way that the approximated values ...
متن کاملImaging/Inversion Formulas with Bounded Integrands
We collect recent ideas on transforming integral operators for imaging/inversion that use quotients of wave fields into operators that use products of wave fields; that is, transforming deconvolution-type operators into correlation-type operators. The transformation avoids evaluation of extremely large or extremely small numbers; hence, the designation “computer-friendly.” For this author, “inv...
